The girl that helped us, and her Auntie cooking up behind the wall, were over the top nice. Hot Dogs were DELICIOUS. An amazing amount of choices in types and toppings! Few tables outside to sit, or you can get to take out :) definitely give Saucy Dogs a try! ”

“ The hot dogs were incredible! Even the Carrot Dog, which I was skeptical about, was surprisingly delicious. I got a Hawaiian Dog with the Lava Dog toppings. It was definitely spicy, but sooo delicious. I paired it with the salt & vinegar potato chips, working as palate tamer for the jalapeños & spicy mayo. The Pepper Jack cheese melted on top helped to hold the smaller ingredients in place. The fam got others that weren’t spicy, and they were just as good. To top it all off, the service we received was phenomenal! While I never got her name, the woman at the counter was helpful, patient, and kind with an incredible smile. If you’re on the big island & love hot dogs, make the trip to Saucy Dogs. It is worth it! ”

“ I travel to Hilo often for work and Saucy Dogs is always one of my first stops. This small, locally owned business has many different hot dog creations to choose from. My go to is their Chicago dog or the kalua dog with the Hawaiian or Portuguese dog, but you can't go wrong with any of their creations. The price is very reasonable and they do not skimp on the portions. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. At first glance, the menu can be overwhelming with so many different hot dogs and toppings to choose from, but the cashier was more than happy to walk me through it and give some recommendations. There are a few tables and chairs outside, but seating is very limited. This does not bother me considering how great the food and service is. Definitely give this place a try if you are in the area. ”
